	The New Media Institute at www.newmedia.org has officially announced the opening of it’s 2009 Web Awards to recognize achievements in new media communications. Although it will consider many types of new media, the opening awards will be for BLOGs. Anyone may nominate a BLOG for review in the competition. Face Book Meets Koobface & Gets Slammed

Face Book is at the summit of the social media heap and its as vulnerable as a Jurassic plant eater stumbling into a T-Rex. As if on cue, its been hit by a virus which could be tantamount to the computer bubonic plague. The Koobface Virus has run amok attacking the PCs of Face Book users. It’s serious.
